Singapore's marathon weekend, formerly the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon, is now the BYD Singapore International Marathon presented by adidas. It runs from 4 to 6 December 2026, and every race starts at the F1 Pit Building and finishes at the National Stadium. The half and full marathons flag off at 4.30am, so the best hotel is one you can walk to the start from. The hotels below are sorted by distance from the F1 Pit Building, closest first.

Singapore's national marathon is a World Athletics Gold Label race, held over the first weekend of December. Runners start beside Marina Bay in the dark, pass the city's skyline and finish inside the National Stadium.

On marathon morning (Sunday 6 December), selected North-South, East-West and Circle Line sections run free trains from 2.30am, every 15 minutes.

The marathon and half marathon are sold out. Registration for the Standard Chartered 10 km, 5 km and Kids Dash was extended to 31 October 2026, or until those races are full.
For the marathon, book Saturday night at least – and Sunday too if you want to rest after the race. For the half marathon, book Friday night. Most runners also arrive a day or two earlier to collect their race pack.
